Rectory Lane Cemetery

Rectory Lane Cemetery is an exciting heritage project for Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. The cemetery, once neglected and overgrown, is being restored as a community asset with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The Rectory Lane Cemetery website is currently under development to promote the site as a public green space and historic site. The new site launching in 2019 will feature:
- a comprehensive database of burials and memorials
- features on the lives of notable people buried here
- interactive cemetery maps and timelinesÂ
- features on biodiversity and ecology, with the ability for visitors to post wildlife sightings with their mobile camera phone
- user-generated memorials, allowing users to post memories of deceased family members
- an events calendar
- news items synchronised with MailChimp
- online donation systems
