The Digital Media Initiative (DMI) is a multi-million-pound transformation programme aimed at moving the BBC to a digital programme-making and archiving system which will ultimately replace tapes and cumbersome paper-trails. I was commissioned to produce a BBC intranet site which would communicate the project to all 28,500 BBC staff. The DMI intranet site (only available within the BBC) explains the tools and systems being introduced, and explains the "hearts and minds" cultural change that will be required for the project to succeed.
