Acclaimed London choir the Holst Singers have been around for a number of years. Their choral repertoire of new music and lesser-known works has earned them a reputation for excellence. As they geared up for their 2007/8 concert season, they turned to McMorran Media for their marketing needs.
Taking their recently commssioned new logo, we produced a glossy brochure, presenting their forthcoming concerts in a slick, South Bank-style publication. Minimal use of colour enabled the brand to leap out of the page, and sans-serif block typography lent a clean, modern look. The approach was a refreshing alternative to other publicity materials in the end of the classical music market, which tends towards a more neoclassical style. A key part of the brochure design was to make it easily digestible by concert-goers - all dates and times were laid out in clean, bold type, making it easy to absorb information while casually leafing through the pages during the concert (as concert-goers usually do).
The brochures have been distributed at major venues like St John's Smith Square.
